While serving as the CMAA (Club Managers Association of America) Service Chair, my goal was to come up with an event that can benefit the community. I visited the Second Home of Harrisonburg to find out ways I could give back.

I spent the beginning of the Fall 2016 semester visiting local grocery stores in search of donations for a Thanksgiving Dinner at Second Home

The Thanksgiving Dinner catered to about 100 people total including the children and their families. My fellow executive board and myself spent the day preparing and serving the food to the children and their families. It was a great experience writing cover letters for donations, and being able to see how all that work paid off for these children and their families.
